Get ready to witness a story which is a perfect example of a ray of hope, dreams and friendship on the global OTT platform ZEE5 originals by Oscar winning music composer and the Mozart of Madras A.R Rehmaan. The movie Atkan Chatkan is all set to stream on the teacher’s day this year, which is September 5. The film is written and directed by filmmaker Saumyy Shivhare, produced by Vishakha Singh (Lokaa Entertainment PLC). Percussionist Sivamani is the music director on the film.
The movie features Lydian Nadhaswaram, a noted child pianist and AR Rahman’s protégé, in the lead as Guddu. The plot of the story is full of inspiration the young viewers and one would defiantly feel like tapping their feet and dancing while watching this movie.
A short brief about the movie
The story revolves around a 12 year old child labourer who delivers chai and has a burning passion for music. He not only finds rhythm in everything but also loves to observe, listen and create new sounds thereby rising beyond his daily monotonous life. He forms a music band along with three other street children who works near his tea stall. A strong bond of friendship is portrayed among the four friends. The kids wish to reach the sky through their music, so the band decides to participate in the leading music competition in the city. The movie is full of passion, desire, hope, aspiration, bond of friendship and rhythmic beats. The kids totally believe in the moto #DreamItLiveIt.

The trailer of the movie has left me spellbound as it’s very inspiring. The movie seems to leave some strong messages for the society such as anyone can dream anything irrespective of their social status or economical background and also that the dreams are neither bounded by age nor height of a person. All it takes is a strong will power and a lot of dedication to make any dream turn into reality.
The star cast of the movie
Every character (kid) in the movie is also a renowned talented personality in the real life. The main lead played by Guddu is the gifted child pianist Lydian Nadhaswaram who has done his acting debut via this movie and he also had to learn how to speak in Hindi for this movie. He had played drums and percussion in the film. He is also the Winner of CBS Show ‘The World’s Best’ 2019. USA and who was recently interviewed by Ellen Degeneres. The film also stars the other three friends of Guddu played by Sachin Chaudhary as Maadav, Yash Rane as Chuttan, and Tamanna Dipak as Mithi.
Music- The integral part of the film
The movie is presented by renowned music composer A.R Rehmaan and the music of the film is scored by the celebrated percussionist Shivamani. One of the songs is sung by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Other Singers in the movie include: Hariharan ,Sonu Nigam, child singer Uttara Unnikrishnan (National Award winner) and Runa Rizvi.

None other than the legendary Bollywood cinema actor Mr Amitabh bachchan has sung a song in the soundtrack of the film. The song is composed by master percussionist Sivamani.
