With an impressive showcase of her collection, LOOM 1905, she was successful in captivating the attention of the fashion fraternity.

Inspired by PM Modi’s ‘Make In India’ campaign under which Ms. Smriti Irani, Union Ministry of Textiles extensively promoted the Indian handloom on the national level, the collection by Rinku Sobti was dedicated to the Pochampalli Park. The highlight of the collection was IKAT, a distinct style and pure cotton weaves of Mangalagiri that made this collection aesthetically beautiful both in look and feel. The famous model, actress, Gauhar Kahan was the showstopper of the opening show by Rinku Sobti. Gauhar looked absolutely marvelous as she set the ramp on fire with her outfit.

A well-known fashion designer from Nepal, Bijay Gautam also presented his collection, Himalayan Odyssey which was inspired by the vivid natural beauty coexisting with the hard working people from the mountains. With its signature tagline ‘Luxury Simplified’, the couture showcased the true confluence between originality and simplicity that represents the Modern day Nepal. The designs and pattern of the collection was based on the strong bi-colors from the light palettes which reflect the elegance and royalty. And to complement his collection, Nepalese Supermodel and an upcoming actress, Paramita RL Rana show-stopped the show. The Nepalese beauty did full justice to her dress as she looked like a complete diva on Bijay’s outfit.

The closing show was shared with the very talented Singapore designer, Vikas Dayal. Vikas Dayal’s label collection had a distinct personality but shares the same refinement and attention to detail. The dressmaking of the collection reflects & represents all the women who have inspired his design practice since the beginning of his career. Based in Singapore, Vikas Dayal’s signature collection have been noted for their bold yet graceful and beautiful form of self-expression. Apart from the integration of various techniques and materials, surface textures play an important role in his works.
