Prahlad Prasad, man of many talents, singer, composer and guitarist from Bengaluru. Prahlad shot to fame by his composition Coffee Huduga. Coffee Huduga, the debut video has won the best music video award at Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival organized by “Minibox”. His music is strongly rooted and it is Indian light Classical Music with Western Blues And Rock, it is presented with a contemporary global sound.
Prahlad, the versatile singer and composer has composed songs in Hindi and Kannada languages and his songs appeal to masses. Apart from singing, this talented individual is also a graphic designer, but as they say “home is where the heart is”; it was in music that Prahlad found his sense of belongingness.
Prahlad had collaboration with California violinist and Grammy Award Winner Rocio Marron for his composition “Yenu Vismayo” and this song entered the 57th annual Grammy Awards.
Prahlad had been A-Grade artist at Radio medium too, his voice has been highly appreciated and followed by the current generation. He has composed more than 500 jingles and still counting.
S.N. Prasad, littérateur and father of Prahlad had considerable contribution to Prahlad’s musical journey, majority of his Kannada compositions are penned by him.
Prahlad is a gifted child, he grew up with listening light classical and retro music. His musical journey started at the tender age of four and since then music has been his first love. His talent has been acknowledged and appreciated throughout his expedition. ‘Sangam Kala Group’ a National Talent Hunt Group that encourages young singers, has awarded Prahlad, as the best Regional singer.
He has been on the panel of judges at various inter collegiate music festivals held across Bengaluru.
Prahlad is the patron of Prahlad Mira Academy of Music and Art, a venture that intents to nurture young talent and spread the joy of music.
Prahlad is Alumnus from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad.
