This product derives its name from traditional methods of conditioning the moustache, i.e., through applying malai (or milk fat), upon the application of which the moustache has increased shine and looks better conditioned. We have therefore formulated a product, which conditions the moustache and beard and gives them a shine. The main point to consider over here is that the product, as I have imagined it, should have a ‘desi’ or ‘pendu’(Punjabi word meaning someone from a village someone attached to their roots) feel to it.This product too has ‘hydrolysed milk protein’ as an ingredient and can be marketed as a ‘milk product’.The sale of beard oils decline during the summer months and this continues all the way until the advent of the autumn, the primary reason being that people either trim their beards to make them more manageable given the hot weather. Application of beard oils on short beard types is not a good idea given a lower surface area of application making the oil feel sticky and greasy. This is where product placement comes into picture(to keep the sales alive during the hot months), MOOCH MALAI being a non-sticky lotion can be applied and massaged into beard without causing a sensation of being sticky or oily and at the same time nourishing yourbeard, providing it with the same benefits as a beard oil.
