We all live in a society where women are earning equal or even more than the men to contribute to their family income. There should be equal partnership in every relationship. So when women can take up the responsibility of working outside which was earlier considered to be only men’s task then why can’t men help women in household chores as there has to equality on both sides for a family to run happily.
Nothing is easy at the beginning but we should always be constant to evolve each day, be it just starting with taking small baby steps each day as it’s rightly said that every drop counts to make an ocean.
Ariel has realised this gender inequality and came up with interesting campaign #ShareTheLoad. In this campaign doing laundry is no longer considered to be women domain work. Doing laundry is the easiest task men can take up. #ShareTheLaundry.
During this pandemic situation when everyone is staying at home much more than they use to stay earlier and the load of the household work as also increased to a great extent. Many men have now realised that when they are contributing to raising the load of the chores, then why not to come forward and help to unload it. Children look up to their parents as the role model and when they watch their parents setting up an example of working together inside the house the truly understand the importance of #ShareChoresMultiplylove
Here are picture from my family where males of my family have started helping with the household tasks.
Helping should not be a one day task but should be adopted as a daily habit. Ariel has taken this initiative to help Fathers, sons and husbands to realise the importance of taking active participation in the domestic help. They have come up with this beautiful video to inspire everyone.
Also when women see men helping them they get more encouraged and motivated and it creates sense of positive vibes at home because now when men are recognising their hardwork more than they use do earlier.
I would urge more and more men to come forward and take up the initiative of inspiring their male coworkers, male friends and all the male relatives to take a pledge to help in household chores. I will #ShareTheLoad and help in household chores in association with ariel and BlogAdda. Would you?
